Air traffic - Airline Marabu started in Nuremberg

Nuremberg Airport is expanding with an additional Airline Base: Airline Marabu, a sister company of Condor, will station up to three aircraft at the Nuremberg Airport, according to an airport spokesperson.

Starting October this year, a plane will fly daily to the Canary Islands and Hurghada, Egypt. From April 2025, there will be three permanently stationed planes that will take off up to 50 times a week to 14 destinations. Among these are approximately the Greek islands of Kefalonia, Kos, and Crete. New connections from Nuremberg will include Ibiza, Olbia on Sardinia, and Larnaca in Cyprus.

The expansion of Nuremberg Airport has attracted Condor's sister company, Condor Flugdienst, to establish an additional Airline Base in Bavaria. This move is expected to contribute significantly to the airport's growth in airline operations. The Middle Franconian region, including Nuremberg, will benefit from the increase in air traffic, offering more connections to popular destinations such as Ibiza, Olbia, and Larnaca.
