The 21st "Airbeat One" in Mecklenburg's Neustadt-Glewe came to an end on Sunday. With the music having faded from the last stages early in the morning, the organizers drew a positive balance. A total of approximately 200,000 visitors were counted throughout the festival days, as a spokesperson stated. In the previous year, there had reportedly been 210,000 visitors. Nevertheless, they were satisfied.

"This summer is a challenge for all"

All festivals reportedly felt a lower demand this year, according to the spokesperson's estimation. "This summer is a challenge for all." There are several reasons for this, including the general price increase, the European Football Championship in their own country, and also the Taylor-Swift concerts with ticket prices over 300 Euro. The "Airbeat One" organizers had not completely passed on their cost increases to the fans, allowing them to continue affording the Festival. "We only raised the ticket prices by ten Euros," the spokesperson said. The ticket for all three days cost an average of 159 Euro, plus camping.

According to festival statements, 228 DJs performed on the Neustadt-Glewe airfield since Thursday, including big names like Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, and Timmy Trumpet. The motto was "Vive la France," and the 160-meter-wide and 45-meter-high Main Stage showcased the Triumph Arch, Versailles Castle, and the Louvre Pyramid. The 22nd edition of "Airbeat One" is reportedly scheduled to take place from July 9-13, 2025. The country that will be in the spotlight and grandly presented on the main stage remains to be announced on August 1.

Police pleased: "Nearly disturbance-free"

The police were present daily with up to 200 officers around the festival and on the premises. Major issues did not arise, as a spokesperson for the Ludwigslust Police Inspection reported on Sunday. "The event overall ran smoothly and nearly disturbance-free from the perspective of the police." By Sunday morning, 8:00 AM, 91 offense reports had been filed, 17 of which were for bodily harm and 12 for violations of the Narcotics Law.

In the previous year, there had been 103 reports, and 24 of them were drug-related. The spokesperson made it clear that experience suggested dealing with drug offenses during the Sunday traffic flow. Traffic jams were reported during the departure process. All festivalgoers were expected to have left by 6:00 PM.
