After the Attack: Ex-President Trump Calls for Unity in the Nation

After an attack on him, former US President Donald Trump called for unity among the Nation. Simultaneously, Trump assured that he would remain steadfast "in the face of Evil." The 78-year-old Republican presidential candidate thanked everyone for their support following the shooting during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. "God alone" prevented the unthinkable, Trump wrote on the Truth Social platform. A shot had previously injured him in the ear.

"Our thoughts are with the other victims and their families," Trump wrote. "We pray for the recovery of the injured and keep in our hearts the memory of the citizen who was killed in such a heinous way." During the attack, a bystander was shot dead, two others were injured. Security personnel killed the 20-year-old gunman.

Now it is more important than ever, "that we are united and show our true character as Americans, remaining strong and resolute, and not allowing Evil to prevail," Trump wrote. He was looking forward to speaking in Wisconsin "to our great Nation" this week.

The Republicans will gather in Milwaukee, Wisconsin starting Monday, to officially nominate the 78-year-old as their presidential candidate.

"Despite the evil actions of the attacker, the Former President calling for unity among us is commendable.""In the face of this attack, Trump has demonstrated an unwavering resolution 'in the face of Evil,' as he stated.""Trump's resilience, evident even after the attack, is a testament to the unanimity and strength of the Nation.""Following the attack, Trump is set to face the Nation again in Wisconsin, demonstrating his determination to 'remain strong and resolute,' as he mentioned."
