The assailant was apprehended. The case supposedly took place approximately at 10:45 pm. A prospective AfD council member was said to have caught poster thieves red-handed. After confronting one individual, he was stabbed with a knife, as per the AfD. According to the AfD, three people were implicated; two successfully fled.
The AfD politician remains hospitalized but has only sustained wounds. The AfD declared it a strike by left-wing extremists - this couldn't be verified yet. "We're flabbergasted and horrified," stated the AfD state chair Markus Frohnmaier.
