Adolescents harass Ghanaian females in Grevesmühlen

Group of youngsters in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern leave Interior Minister stunned: A gang of young individuals viciously targeted two children of Ghanaian descent, resulting in injuries for one girl and her father. Authorities are currently probing instances of disorderly conduct, grievous bodily harm, provoking hate, and slander.

An appalling show of racism by a large group of youngsters against two little Ghanaian girls in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has left everyone appalled. An 8-year-old girl and her father sustained minor injuries during the altercation in Grevesmühlen on a Friday evening. SPD politician and Interior Minister Christian Pegel strongly reprimanded the actions. "Attacking anyone, particularly children, and especially for racist motives, is unacceptable," stated the politician.

Preliminary police investigations suggest that the 8-year-old Ghanaian girl and her 10-year-old sister were brutally assaulted by approximately 20 youngsters and teens around 7:30 pm on a Friday. The younger girl was said to have been struck in the face by the aggressors. When the children's parents arrived, a verbal clash erupted.

According to reports, as the police arrived, an individual from the group allegedly hurled racist abuse at the victims as they were escorted away. It is believed that up to eight individuals from the group were involved in the attack. The girl and her father were transported to the hospital by ambulance. The police are now investigating cases of disorderly conduct, grievous bodily harm, provoking hate, and slander. The authorities are currently seeking witnesses to the incident.
