Adolescent vocalizes hate-filled Nazi phrases, igniting a law enforcement response
Youthful adherents of extremist views are on the rise, as demonstrated by the European election's findings in the younger demographic. At Warnemuende train station, a 15-year-old girl was found spouting racist remarks. Things took an alarming turn from there.
Following Germany's initial Euro football match, there was an increased police presence at Warnemuende train station due to right-wing sentiments. As per the Federal Police, during a Friday evening, a 15-year-old girl was heard yelling "Germany for the Germans, Foreigners out."
When authorities attempted to pinpoint the girl, her 54-year-old father became aggressive, threatening physical confrontation. A 26-year-old man condemned her remarks, made the Nazi salute on multiple occasions, and shouted "Hail Hitler." He alleged he was seeking to understand what constitutes hate speech, as told by the police.
As the officers requested reinforcements, the suspects fled on an S-Bahn train. The officers pursued them and were physically attacked by several individuals. According to the police report, during the scuffle, several individuals attempted to snatch an officer's firearm from its holster but were unsuccessful.
This disturbing incident took place during the departure from a public viewing event at Warnemuende beach. In total, 17 officers were involved in containing and identifying the group members. The 15-year-old girl began to hyperventilate and required medical attention from emergency services. Thankfully, no one was injured. The police are currently investigating charges for hate speech and assault on police officers.
Before the incident, warnings had already been issued to three men for repetitively chanting the same slogan as the juvenile. According to an eyewitness, one of the suspects had threatened a 35-year-old man with violence.
