At an accident on the A12 motorway at the junction Müllrose (Landkreis Oder-Spree), between a small transit vehicle and a car, five people have been seriously injured. A man was in the small transit vehicle, and two women and two men were in the car, a police spokesperson said. The injured are reportedly between 20 and 53 years old.
According to the police, the 25-year-old driver of the small transit vehicle collided with the car for unclear reasons. The driver of the car was a 53-year-old woman. The total damage is estimated to be around 16,000 Euro.
Both vehicles were heading towards the Polish border. A rescue helicopter reportedly took some of the injured to a hospital, according to the police. The lanes towards Poland were closed afterwards.
The accident occurred in Brandenburg's Müllrose, specifically at the junction of the A12 motorway and the Oder-Spree. The small transit vehicle and the car involved in the incident served as a connection point for traffic heading towards the Polish border. The automatic emergency call system was activated due to the accident, leading to a response from emergency services.
