Swimming accident - A young man drowned swimming in the Einfelder See
A 24-year-old man drowned in the Einfelder See in Neumünster and later died in the hospital. As a police spokesperson stated today, the accident occurred in the afternoon on a Thursday.
The man had been swimming with a child. The ten-year-old boy remained unharmed. Rescue teams arrived shortly thereafter, fished the man out of the water, revived him, and took him to the hospital. The cause of the swimming accident was initially unknown.
The swimming accident that claimed a life occurred in New Munster, located in the neighboring state of Schleswig-Holstein. Regrettably, leisure activities can sometimes lead to unfortunate incidents, as evidenced by the recent string of accidents in local water bodies.
