A Russian pilot apparently leaked data of commanders

A Russian pilot reporting information to the Ukrainian Military Intelligence (HUR) about a Russian bomber division responsible for attacking a children's clinic in Kiev causes shock among Russians as well.

A Russian pilot is reported to have provided confidential information to the Ukrainian Military Intelligence (HUR) following the attack on the Kiev children's clinic Ochmatdyt. These details contributed to the identification of 30 responsible commanders of a Russian bomber aircraft division, according to Ukrainian media, citing a confidential source from the intelligence service.

The Russian pilot is said to belong to the 22nd heavy bomber aircraft division - the division, as reported by "Ukrainskaja Pravda", that consistently targets Ukrainian cities with Kh-101 missiles. "Kyiv Independent" quotes the source as saying, "He was shocked by the attack on the children's hospital and decided to provide the Ukrainian side with documents about the activities of his military unit and private photos of the division's leadership."

According to reports, the pilot contacted the HUR on July 8 following the devastating Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities with over 40 fatalities and countless injuries. A children's clinic in Kiev was also destroyed during the attack, resulting in several deaths, and many were injured, including some children.

The pilot handed over documents about the activities of his military unit and private photos of the division's leadership to the Ukrainian side. The documents included personnel records of high-ranking officers, personnel data of Russian military personnel and their families. The HUR then released photos and names of the division commanders.

Moscow denies - as always after attacks on Ukrainian civilians - any responsibility. Instead, the Ukrainian air defense is blamed for the damages. However, this is refuted by Ukraine and numerous experts, including those of the United Nations. They argue that a surface-to-air missile would have caused numerous small craters or indentations at the impact site - not a half-collapsed building like in Kiev.

The Russian pilot's actions have sparked intense discussions in Russian politics, with some criticizing him for betraying his country and others praising his courage in exposing war crimes.

The leak of this information has added fuel to the fire in the ongoing Wars and Conflicts between Russia and Ukraine, with both sides using it to bolster their respective narratives.

The international community is closely monitoring the situation, with many condemning Russia for its actions and calling for accountability for the attack on the Kiev children's clinic, which is considered a violation of international humanitarian law.
