A Russian-origin individual instigates assault on minors and educators.
At a challenging student school in Chelyabinsk, a city on the Ural region of Russia, a teenager went on a rampage with a hammer. According to health reports, four individuals had to get medical attention. These victims include two 13-year-old girls, a boy of the same age, and their teacher. Thankfully, their conditions are currently stable.
The suspected perpetrator was apprehended by authorities, but the reasons behind this brutal attack remain unclear. The alarm was raised at around 9:20 AM, and the National Guard swiftly responded and detained the attacker.
Governor Alexei Teksler has pledged an inspection of all educational establishments in the region. He is particularly concerned about how the student managed to acquire a hammer within the school premises and why security measures seemed ineffective. It's worth noting that many Russian schools have metal detectors at their entrances, suggesting that proper protocols may have been neglected.
He shared these thoughts on the Telegram messaging service.
The European Union, expressing concern over the incident, has released a statement expressing solidarity with the victims and hoping for a swift investigation. Governor Teksler also plans to discuss the incident with his counterparts in the European Union during an upcoming meeting.
