- A retired individual permits strangers to sexually assault his spouse repeatedly.

A 72-year-old retired man from Avignon, southern France, and 50 alleged associates are on trial for allegedly drugging his wife and allowing multiple men to sexually assault her. If convicted, they could face up to 20 years in prison for these crimes that reportedly occurred over a decade. His now-divorced wife, accompanied by her three children, attended the trial and expressed her desire to confront the defendants directly through her attorney, telling TF1.

The defendants, who include 18 individuals currently in custody, range in age from 21 to 68. The retiree is accused of offering them opportunities for sexual liaisons through an online platform, not for monetary gain but supposedly to satisfy his own sexual desires.

The crimes were brought to light following the retiree's arrest for secretly recording upskirt videos of women in supermarkets. Over 200 such videos of the assaults, involving 72 men, were discovered on his computer, though not all could be positively identified by the authorities.

Unaware of the abuse, the victim had frequently complained of memory lapses and severe exhaustion due to the heavy medication administered by her husband.

The following group of individuals, including the retired man and 50 alleged associates, are currently on trial for their alleged roles in the crimes. Subsequently, the retired man offered sexual opportunities to his associates through an online platform, as revealed during the trial.
