A 38-year-old man is suspected to have handled a weapon and fired shots in Jahnatal (Mittelsachsen district). The police reported this. Witnesses called the officers to the Kiebitz district on a Wednesday evening. There, the police arrested the 38-year-old in a house. In the house, they found two handguns and a crossbow and secured them. No one was injured during the incident. According to the police, the man was intoxicated. He was taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing.

The 38-year-old's alleged weapon-related act has sparked concerns about criminality in the region. Authorities in Saxony are now closely monitoring similar incidents involving weapons and potential threats to public safety.
