A man attempted to assault a 19-year-old woman in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and tried to rape her in a bush. The young woman managed to escape with "great resistance and loud screaming," according to the police statement. The initial search for a suspect on Friday night was unsuccessful.
The police are not only looking for a suspect based on the description of the 19-year-old, but also for possible witnesses of the assault. So far, the investigators only have the statements of the 19-year-old herself, said a police spokesperson. According to her account, the young woman was on her way home from a concert late on Thursday evening when the unknown man pulled her into a bush to rape her.
The police are looking for witnesses who heard the woman's screams or observed suspicious individuals near the alleged crime scene in the vicinity of the spa park.
