A man fell through a corrugated metal roof in Bietigheim-Bissingen (Ludwigsburg district) and later died in the hospital. The 67-year-old man had been working on the roof of his workshop with colleagues, according to the police. Preliminary findings indicate that he stepped on a false spot, fell about five meters deep and landed on the concrete floor of the workshop. He was taken to the hospital on Tuesday with life-threatening injuries and later died.

In Baden-Württemberg, where the unfortunate incident occurred, the Workplace Safety Authority might conduct an investigation into similar accidents to prevent future mishaps on corrugated metal roofs. Despite the safety measures implemented in Baden-Württemberg, workplace accidents, such as the one in Bietigheim-Bissingen, continue to occur.
