Animals - A dog finds an exotic large snake in Carinthia
A dog discovered an African bush python in the grass during a walk with its owner in Carinthia, Austria. The dog owner recorded a video and then alerted the fire department, before the snake retreated into the woods near the Ebenthal Waterfalls, approximately ten kilometers east of the Wörthersee.
A snake expert examined the video and reassured the fire department that it was not a venomous species. Members of the voluntary fire department Ebenthal searched the wooded area, as reported by the broadcaster ORF Carinthia. They were about to give up when they heard rustling. "Then one of us caught the snake by the head and captured it," reported firefighter Jürgen Kilzer to the broadcaster.
The origin of the python was unclear. The fire department took it to a zoo. According to the snake expert's assessment based on the snake's feeding condition, it had been on the move for some time.
The Giant Python, surprisingly found by a dog during a walk with its owner in Carinthia, Austria, is classified as a non-venomous species by a snake expert. The fire department, initially alerted by the dog owner's video, engaged voluntary firefighters from Ebenthal to search for the snake in the nearby woods. Curiosities about the origin of the large reptile sparked among local dog owners following the news of the unwelcome visitor.
