Employees from a particular unit barged into a venue in the northeastern region of Moscow on Tuesday evening, where roughly sixty individuals had gathered to view a live transmission of a Navalny memorial concert in Berlin, as reported by the human rights organization Ovd-Info.
Approximately thirty individuals were arrested, searched, and interrogate. The news outlet "Sota" shared a short video depicting several masked officers approaching.
Navalny's Passing
On what would have been Navalny's forty-eighth birthday, he was a renowned critic of Kremlin head Vladimir Putin and was considered a political prisoner after his 2021 arrest. Navalny expired in a remote Russian prison in February under circumstances that are unclear to this day. His close ones and supporters suspect murder given that just one year prior he narrowly survived an attempt on his life using a nerve agent and was consequently in poor health.
At Navalny's funeral three months ago, unexpectedly thousands of people assembled in Moscow, defying the oppression. Generally, there are no demonstrations because the authorities promptly subdue them and detain participants.
