"For me, the level of hatred and agitation has reached a new level. I now encounter it every day in the news and commentaries, but also in the German Bundestag," says Karamba Diaby.

An SPD Member of the German Parliament - A death threat letter was published by Diaby.

Rep. Karamba Diaby from the SPD in Germany's Bundestag shared a death threat he received on his Instagram page. He boldly stated, "I won't be intimidated. I'll defend myself." In response to this, he decided to share some of the numerous abusive and racist messages he's received. His employees were even threatened in the cruel post.

While media outlets have reported on this issue, Diaby expressed his frustration with the uncivil tone directed towards politicians. He said, "The level of hatred and animosity I experience has reached new heights. It's a constant in the news, comments, and at the Bundestag, especially from right-wing populists." Diaby attributed this to the toxic environment created by the AfD and their morally degrading narratives.

Regrettably, Diaby's constituency office in Halle has also faced attacks, like the door catching fire in May 2023. Diaby participates in the Bundestag's Foreign Affairs Committee.
