- A climber plummets a hundred meters down the Alps, meeting his unfortunate demise.

At the Alpspitze close to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in the Alps, a 50-year-old climber from Baden-Württemberg met his demise. According to the police's account, this climber was making his way down from the Wetterstein mountains, around 2,500 meters above sea level, when he tumbled over 100 meters onto rugged terrain. His fellow climber then dialed emergency services.

Search and rescue squads arrived at the site via helicopter but regrettably verified the man's passing. The surviving climber was then transported to the valley where a crisis response team tended to his needs. The police and prosecutor's office are now delving into the specifics of this accident's occurrence.

The climber's equipment might have been missed among the other items left at the accident site. Despite the tragedy, other climbers chose to continue their expeditions in the Alpspitze area.
