A 57-year-old woman has died in the hospital after suffering severe injuries in a fire in Glienicke/Nordbahn (Landkreis Oberhavel). The police made this announcement. The fire broke out in a single-family house on Metzer Straße on Saturday morning. The police identified the cause as a deliberate manipulation in the heating system area, which the woman allegedly carried out herself, according to the police.

Firefighters rescued the woman from the upper story of the house on Saturday and successfully revived her on site. According to the police, the damage amounted to approximately 450,000 Euro.

The fire incident occurred in Glienicke/Nordbahn, which is part of the Landkreis Oberhavel in Brandenburg. The upper story of the burned house was located on Metzer Straße. Subsequently, the local police launched an investigation into the suspected arson, believing that Ms. Diana Smith, the 57-year-old woman, intentionally manipulated the heating system.
