With sharp object - A 36-year-old in Plauen Asylum Home was murdered

In a dispute among three residents at a shelter for asylum seekers in Plauen, a 36-year-old Pakistani man was killed today at noon with a sharp object, according to the police. A 40-year-old Moroccan man sustained light injuries and was treated as an outpatient in a hospital.

According to the statement, a 46-year-old Pakistani man is considered a suspect. He was arrested and also had light injuries. He is scheduled to be presented to the magistrate on Tuesday afternoon. The exact sequence of events is being investigated by the Police.

The employees of the central shelter for asylum seekers in Plauen reacted quickly, notified the police immediately, and provided first aid, according to the Landratsamt Vogtlandkreis. A crisis intervention team took over the psychosocial emergency care for the employees. It will be checked whether care for further residents is necessary.

Currently, according to the statements of the Landratsamt, there are approximately 240 people registered in the shelter, but only about 50 actual residents.
