Dangerous Electric Shock - A 21-year-old died in a work accident in Melsungen
At a work accident in Melsungen (Schwalm-Eder-District), a 21-year-old man lost his life. An employee of an electrical company suffered a fatal electric shock while working on the company's power grid on Monday, as the police reported. Despite immediate reanimation attempts, the young man died at the scene of the accident. The criminal police are investigating the exact circumstances of the fatal accident.
Only a few minutes prior to the incident at the same company, another accident had occurred. A 62-year-old logistics employee sustained back injuries when a loading dock ramp of an LGV gave way and hit him. He was taken to a clinic by helicopter rescue.
The Schwalm-Eder-District, located in the state of Hesse, was the setting for two workplace incidents within the same day. The first incident resulted in a fatal work accident in Melsungen. A 62-year-old employee from another department, involved in logistics, experienced a non-fatal accident when a loading dock ramp collapsed, causing back injuries.
