Jena - 85-year-old bicyclist admitted to an ambulance

A ambulance was on a blue light run in Jena when it hit an 85-year-old cyclist. According to the police, the man had to be revived at the scene on Thursday evening.

The emergency vehicle was on its way with blue lights and sirens on when the 85-year-old cyclist suddenly crossed the street. The traffic light reportedly showed red for the cyclist. A called-for ambulance took him to a clinic.

In the same incident in Jena, Thuringia, authorities dispatched multiple emergency services, including the police and another ambulance. Despite wearing a helmet, the elderly cyclist suffered serious injuries from the traffic accident. The police are currently investigating the cause of the collision involving the ambulance.
