With tenacity, a 60-year-old man apprehended the suspected thief of his bicycle at the Cologne Cathedral. He appeared at the Federal Police Inspectorate's station a total of three times - the last time accompanied by the suspected thief, the police reported.

After filing a criminal complaint because his bicycle was stolen outside a bakery near Cologne Central Station, the 60-year-old went out to search for his property. He later spotted a man riding his bicycle, according to the police report.

When the suspected thief refused to accompany him to the station, the 60-year-old boldly snatched a gym bag from him. A search of the bag at the station revealed the identity of a 29-year-old man, who was initially untraceable.

Undeterred, the aggrieved cyclist went out to search again: "Shortly afterwards, he appeared at the station for the third time - this time with the suspected thief in tow," the police report stated.

The 29-year-old will now face a judge for theft charges. Additionally, a drug test came back positive for cocaine. "Thanks to the committed efforts of the aggrieved party, the case was quickly resolved," praised the Federal Police Directorate.
