Frankfurt Regional Court - 28-year-old woman killed - verdict expected in murder trial
In a trial for murder of a 28-year-old woman in Frankfurt, the verdict is expected on Wednesday (13.30 pm). The prosecution accuses the defendant, who was 17 years old at the time, of beating and choking the woman to death. Previously, the 28-year-old is said to have mocked the defendant due to difficulties during sexual intercourse. According to earlier statements of a court clerk, the two are said to have met a few hours before the incident at a local in the Sachsenhausen district, consumed alcohol and cocaine, and agreed to have sex.
The deceased woman was found by police in her rental apartment in early October based on tips from neighbors. The search led to a juvenile from the Bonames district. He was arrested at his parents' home.
The prosecution based its indictment on the aggravating circumstances of the crime and the low motives. The Youth Criminal Chamber had conducted the trial, which began at the end of May, behind closed doors, and the verdict will also be announced in private. As a court clerk mentioned during the trial opening, the defendant confessed to the crime. He faces a maximum sentence of ten years in prison if found guilty of murder.
The crime took place in Frankfurt am Main, specifically within the Sachsenhausen district. The public prosecutor's office in Hesse played a significant role in the case. The Frankfurt Regional Court will announce the verdict for the murder trial, involving a 17-year-old defendant, on Wednesday at 13.30 pm. The deceased woman, during a previous encounter, reportedly mocked the defendant due to challenges during sexual intercourse.
