19 raids in Bavaria for spreading hatred of Jews
The Bavarian law enforcement authorities have carried out raids in several Bavarian cities to combat the spread of hatred towards Jews.
A spokesperson for the Bavarian State Office of Criminal Investigation said that 19 properties were searched this morning. The investigations are being conducted by the public prosecutor's office. According to the statement, 20 suspects are being investigated. This was first reported by the "Bild" newspaper. According to the report, raids were carried out in Munich and Nuremberg, among other places.
In one of the cases, a man is being investigated for posting a picture of Hitler on social media with an allusion to the Holocaust. "We also want to set an example against anti-Semitism," said the LKA spokesperson.
The raids in Bavarian cities are aimed at curbing the spread of antisemitism, which includes hatred of Jews. The public prosecutor's office is investigating 20 individuals for promoting hatred towards Jews, as evidenced by the discovery of a picture of Hitler alluding to the Holocaust posted on social media.
