18-year-old arrested for planning an attack

The authorities have been monitoring an 18-year-old from the Limburg-Weilburg district for years. He is said to have threatened to kill people in right-wing extremist forums. Now he has been arrested.

An 18-year-old from Hesse has been remanded in custody for allegedly preparing an attack on the lives of other people. According to the investigations so far, he has a confirmed anti-Semitic and right-wing extremist attitude, announced the State Criminal Police Office (LKA) in Wiesbaden and the public prosecutor's office in Frankfurt am Main. He had repeatedly threatened to kill people for his political goals in relevant forums.

According to the information, the public prosecutor's office and LKA have been investigating the 18-year-old for several months. His home was searched on Wednesday. The investigators found weapons and ammunition, among other things. Initial evaluations of the confiscated items had confirmed the suspicion.

A juvenile court judge issued an arrest warrant on Thursday and ordered pre-trial detention. There is suspicion of preparing a serious act of violence endangering the state and of violating the Weapons Act. The 18-year-old is reportedly from the Limburg-Weilburg district.

The 18-year-old's right-wing extremist views and alleged threats led to his arrest in the Limburg-Weilburg district of Hesse. The Police and public prosecutor's office have been actively investigating this case due to the potential danger of his plans.
