Five people have been injured in a collision between two cars in the Landkreis Vorpommern-Rügen - among them a 15-year-old who sustained severe injuries. According to the police, the two cars collided sideways in Eixen-Forkenbeck, as one car tried to overtake the other.
The first vehicle then left the road, struck a tree, and overturned several times. The second car also left the roadway and hit a fence.
The two drivers, both 19 years old, as well as two passengers, were lightly injured in the accident on Friday evening. A rescue helicopter took the 15-year-old to a hospital.
The collision between the two cars was an unfortunate incident taking place in the district of District Vorpommern-Rügen, located in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The overtaking process led to the sideways collision, which was marked as an automobile accident.
