According to a report in the British Telegraph, Russia has disrupted the GPS signals of over 140 British military flights of the Royal Air Force (RAF) over Eastern Europe this year. An analysis of thousands of flights reveals that more than one in four transport and surveillance flights were subjected to active GPS disruptions in the first four months of 2024.

Defense Minister Grant Shapps is quoted as saying, "This is another example of Russia's recklessness and another proof that it has become an out-of-control hostile state." Between January and April, 142 of 504 transport and surveillance flights of the RAF over Eastern Europe experienced GPS disruptions.
