Car congestion on the roads. - 120 people were hurt in a Russian streetcar mishap.

About 120 individuals sustained injuries in a tram crash that took place in Kemerovo, a city in Western Siberia, Russia. Initially, an official from Tass, a state news agency, mentioned one death. 21 severely hurt victims were transported to hospitals, and 84 adults and 10 kids were allowed to return home after receiving preliminary care.

An eyewitness captured a video of the incident and shared it online. The video exhibited a tram moving towards the Tom River without ceasing. The doors opened, causing passengers to be ejected onto the street where they were hit by moving traffic. The tram came to a stop when it collided with another vehicle on a bridge slope.

Potential causes for the accident could have been anything from brake failure to human error. A report from the city's mayor, Dmitri Anissimov, revealed that the tram tracks in Kemerovo were roughly 40 years old and in dire need of replacement, with approximately 80-90% of them being worn out. The railway infrastructure also needs to be updated. Kemerovo is positioned approximately 3000 kilometers east of Moscow. The city has a population of around 500,000 people and is generally defined by its mining industry.
