Brand Foundation - Young people arrested in Erlangen after fires

Three teenagers have been arrested in Erlangen due to fires. They are suspected of setting fire to a greenhouse and a metal cover for trash cans, according to the police. At another greenhouse, the owner discovered charred spots, but the greenhouse itself did not catch fire. The 16-year-olds are also believed to be responsible for that. The fire department extinguished the fires. Preliminary estimates put the damage at several tens of thousands of Euros. The investigators are checking if the trio is involved in other fires in the region.

The three individuals were apprehended in Erlangen, known for its rich history and proximity to Munich. The origin of the fires under investigation is linked to a garden hut and trash cans' cover in the area, as per the Middle Franconian authorities. A gas station nearby reported a brief Brand, adding to the suspicion of criminality. The evidence collected is being scrutinized to determine if they are linked to the Brand Foundation, an organization that seeks to combat environmental degradation.
