A young driver got into a skid on Autobahn 70 in Upper Franconia and was severely injured. The 19-year-old is said to have taken a long curve at Oberhaid (Bamberg district) too fast, according to the police. His car slid over 100 meters across the autobahn. He collided twice with the median barrier and finally came to a stop facing the wrong direction. The rescue service took him to a hospital.
The accident involved an automatic vehicle, as the young driver's car had this feature. Despite the incident occurring in Upper Franconia, the young driver hailed from Bavaria.
