Artificial Intelligence - Wissing and Schmitt in Center for Artificial Intelligence
Federal Digital Minister Volker Wissing and Rhineland-Palatinate Economic Minister Daniela Schmitt (both FDP) will open the new Innovation and Quality Center for Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Kaiserslautern today (13.30 hours). The establishment at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) aims to develop testing criteria for AI.
The center is part of the so-called Mission AI – an initiative to promote AI development in Germany, which is supported by the Federal Ministry for Digital Affairs and Transport with 32 million Euros. It is the first of two planned AI centers that will be funded by the Federal Government. DFKI Director Andreas Dengel will also attend the opening.
