Soccer Transfers - When Wiesbaden obliges Stumer Kaya
Soccer-Third-league team SV Wehen Wiesbaden has signed Fatih Kaya. The Hessians announced this. The 24-year-old striker was previously under contract with the Belgian First Division team VV St. Truiden.
Although the offensive player will still be out due to a knee injury for a while, Sport-Business manager Uwe Stöver is convinced by Kaya. "I am sure that he will significantly strengthen our attack upon his timely return," said Stöver.
Born in Gießen, Kaya was trained in the youth ranks of 1. FSV Mainz 05 before joining the U19 of FC Ingolstadt. He made the leap to the pros two years later. For the Schanzer, he played 85 games in the 2. and 3. League. For St. Truiden, he appeared in 54 matches since summer 2022.
"With Fatih, we have obtained our absolute top candidate, who has strengths in the deep-lying position and is a very versatile and technically skilled player," said SVWW head coach Nils Doering. The clubs made no statements regarding contract duration and buyout clauses.
Fatih Kaya hails from Gießen, a city in Hesse, Germany. He had a successful stint in the 2. and 3. League with FC Ingolstadt before moving to Belgium. WS Wehen Wiesbaden, another 3. League team based in Wiesbaden, Germany, has acquired his services. Transfers in soccer continue to shape teams' rosters, and Kaya's addition to WS Wehen Wiesbaden is likely to impact their performance positively.
