Heavy thunderstorms are possible in Lower Saxony and Bremen on Sunday. There could be heavy rain, which may last several hours in some areas, warned the German Weather Service (DWD). The storms coming from the west are expected to move over the federal states from morning hours.

Heavy gusts of wind up to 100 kilometers per hour and hail are also possible. The Deichbrand Festival in Nordholz, Cuxhaven, is taking place until Sunday. So far, the festival visitors have remained dry. The storms are expected to gradually move eastwards only in the night of Monday.

Before that, it will be hot on Saturday with temperatures up to 34 degrees in the southern part of Lower Saxony, as the DWD reports in its weather forecast. Temperatures of 30 degrees are expected on the islands and in the Oberharz region.

Despite the expected sunny weather in some parts of Lower Saxony on Saturday, unfavorable weather conditions, including heavy thunderstorms, are forecasted for Bremen and Lower Saxony on Sunday, as the DWD has warned. This stormy weather may bring heavy rain and thunder, potentially disturbing the Deichbrand Festival in Nordholz, Cuxhaven, which continues until Sunday. Fortunately, the festival visitors have so far remained dry, but they should be prepared for potential changes in the weather as the storms are expected to move eastwards towards Hanover, in Lower Saxony, only in the night of Monday.
