At the dam Malter, swimming is not allowed yet. The swimming operation in all beaches was precautionarily stopped, as the city of Dippoldiswalde announced. In the night, an outflow of sewage into the dam was detected in the Paulsdorf area. Currently, it is not running anymore, the damage will be fixed in the next hours. The administration suspects that the electricity caused the damage. The pumps were not defective, it was stated. With rising temperatures, there may be odor emissions. The boat rental is still possible. However, jumping into the cold water from the boat is also forbidden.

Despite the ongoing repairs at the Malter dam due to an emergency sewage leak in Paulsdorf, leisure activities like boat rentals continue. Unfortunately, any form of swimming or jumping into the water from the boats remains prohibited due to the potential for odor emissions. The city of Dippoldiswalde, situated in Saxony, will ensure the dam is functioning properly again soon.
