3. Football League - Waldhof Mannheim signs experienced forward

Soccer-Third league team SV Waldhof Mannheim has signed former U19 European champion Felix Lohkemper. The 29-year-old offensive player was under contract at 1. FC Nürnberg until the end of June. The club made no statements about the duration of the new contract in its announcement.

"We kept our eyes open on the transfer market and found a player in Felix Lohkemper whom we found very interesting from the entire player profile," said Anthony Loviso, Technical Director of SVW. "He is versatile in offense and gives us additional quality."

In his previous role, Felix Lohkemper played for 1. FC Nürnberg in Germany's top-tier football league. His new team, SV Waldhof Mannheim, is based in the region of Baden-Württemberg. The Palatinate, another region in Germany, is not far from Mannheim. Lohkemper's new club is currently competing in the 3rd League. The transfer of the former U19 European champion to Forest Selva Mannheim, a nickname often used for SV Waldhof Mannheim, has added new dynamics to their team.
