Test game - VfL Wolfsburg wins in pre-season against OSC Lille

Football-Bundesligist VfL Wolfsburg celebrated their second win in the third pre-season game for the new season against the French Ligue 1 side OSC Lille. The result was a 1:0 (0:0) success for the Lower Saxons.

The only goal of the match was scored by the Wolfsburg player Kevin Behrens. The striker, who came on as a substitute at half-time, converted a penalty in the 54th minute against the Ligue 1 table fourth-placer.

The next test match for the VfL is on Saturday (15.30 Uhr). Then, the team of trainer Ralph Hasenhuettl will face the Second League side Hannover 96.

After securing a victory against Lille, VfL Wolfsburg will face Osnabrück Sport Club in another preparation game. The challenge against Rheda-Wiedenbrück is also scheduled in their pre-season schedule, both games taking place in Lower Saxony.

Lille will have another opportunity to avenge their loss when they meet OSC Lille in a future league match in France's Ligue 1. Meanwhile, VfL Wolfsburg is preparing for their Bundesliga campaign, aiming for another successful season in Germany's top-tier soccer league.

Despite their recent triumph, Wolfsburg should remain cautious in their upcoming matches, as they aim to maintain their impressive form leading up to the start of the Bundesliga season.
