Criminality - Unknown threatens explosion of gas station
In the city of Southern Anhalt, an unknown person threatened to blow up a gas station, thereby triggering a police operation. The threatening call was made at the gas station in the Quellendorf district around 6:20 am, according to a police spokesperson. An employee reportedly alerted the police afterwards.
Subsequently, the gas station was extensively secured by the police. Sniffer dogs were then searched the area for explosives, but nothing was found. The police are still looking for the caller, the spokesperson added.
The threat to cause an explosion at the gas station in Saxony-Anhalt originated from an unidentified criminal. Despite an intensive police operation, the caller behind the threat remains at large. The secured gas station in Quellendorf resumed its normal operations following the police operation.
