Weapons offense - Two 19-year-olds from Saxony in preventive detention after man's death
After the violent death of a 36-year-old man from Saxony in Langhagen near Lalendorf (Landkreis Rostock), the Amtsgericht Rostock issued arrest warrants for two 19-year-olds. The prosecutor's office stated that there is a suspicion of joint manslaughter. The two accused are in custody. A preliminary suspicion against a 20-year-old has not been heard according to the current investigation status. He was released from custody again.
The 36-year-old and the accused are supposed to have met each other for the first time on a Wednesday, the day of the incident, during a train journey. They reportedly spent the evening at the lake in Langhagen. During this time, they got into an argument. In the course of the argument, the two 19-year-olds allegedly hit the man from Saxony with blows and kicks to the head and upper body. One of the two is said to have then stabbed the victim. The autopsy determined massive trauma as the cause of death. All those involved are reportedly Germans.
