Earlier in the day, President Trump underwent a routine chitchat with the New York Probation Services. This meeting was boring and clocked under half an hour, a source asserted. The interactiontranspiredat 3:30 p.m. on Monday, another source divulged to CNN.

Previously, CNN shared that Trump lawyer Todd Blanche would be accompanying the get-together, despite its common occurrence failing to include the incarcerated defendant's lawyer's presence.

This meet-up falls within the assessment the probation departmentwill submitto Judge Juan Merchan to assist in determining Trump's sentencing, occurring at 10 a.m. on July 11. Merchan may impose probation or maximum imprisonment of four years for each charge, culminating in a total of 20 years.

Typically, in a pre-sentencing interview, a defendant discusses their conviction and other fundamental details like their job and criminal past. Defendants are not compelled to engage with the typical pre-sentencing study, but the judge may interpret a passive response unfavorably.

During this process, Trump's legal associates have the option to deliver letters of advocacy from his friends and relatives to Merchan. The ex-prez's squad is due to present their recommended sentencing stage Thursday, as per a source's inside knowledge.

The Manhattan District Attorney's Office will also furnish the judge with a document suggesting the appropriate penalty for Trump.

A Manhattan jury recently convicted Trump of every one of the 34 charges in his silencing money lawsuit, making him the first ex-president to be found guilty of a felony. He was indicted for falsifying business records involving a pay-off in 2016 to an adult film actress.

Kaitlan Collins, Alayna Treene, and Lauren del Valle from CNN assisted in compiling this article.
