Volleyball Bundesliga - Triple-winner Stuttgart gets Spanish national player
The Spanish Volleyball National player Lucia Varela Gomez is switching to German champion, cup winner, and Supercup winner Allianz MTV Stuttgart. The 1.97 meter tall Middle blocker is coming from Quimper Volley 29 in France and will compete with Breland Morrissette and Kelsey Veltman for a spot in the starting formation, as the Bundesligist announced.
"We will experience something very special with her spike height and her reach in the block and will have a lot of fun. In Lucia, there is a lot of potential," said trainer Konstantin Bitter about the 20-year-old.
