Ulm - Trial against 15-year-old for manslaughter starts

Because he is accused of killing his 15-year-old girlfriend, the trial against a 15-year-old begins on Friday morning at the Ulm Regional Court. The prosecution is reportedly charging him with manslaughter. Due to the young defendant's age, the trial is therefore taking place in the absence of the public.

According to the prosecution, the 15-year-old is said to have killed his girlfriend of the same age in a forest in the Ulm district of Wiblingen last year, shortly after Christmas. He is then reported to have informed the police himself. The girl was initially revived but died in a hospital several days later due to the consequences of the crime.

According to the court's announcement, the 1st Large Youth Chamber has scheduled eleven hearing days for the case. A verdict is expected to be reached in September.

The process of the manslaughter case, involving the 15-year-old accused of killing his girlfriend, is taking place in the Court of Regional jurisdiction in Ulm, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Despite the criminal charges, the trial is being held without the public due to the defendant's young age. The Germany-based trial follows the alleged incident in a forest near Ulm last year, where the young girlfriend sadly passed away after several days in the hospital.
