Sports-Event - Traffic restrictions at Frankfurt City-Triathlon
At the Frankfurt City-Triathlon this Sunday, traffic disruptions are to be expected. "In the western part of Frankfurt and the city center, numerous streets along the race course will be closed", the city announced. The tram lines 11, 12, 14, 15, 16 and 17, as well as the bus lines 33, M46, 51, 52, 59, 61, X61, X77, 78, 84 and 89 will reportedly undergo rerouting, operate only on partial sections, or commence service later.
Approximately 2500 men and women are expected to participate in the Triathlon in and around Frankfurt. "Buses and trains give priority to them from 6.30 am to 1.30 pm", it was stated.
In the western part of Frankfurt, the S-Bahn trains at the stations Niederrad, Griesheim, Nied, and Höchst will offer transportation options into the city center. In the city center, the S-Bahn lines between Hauptbahnhof and Konstablerwache are recommended. The U-Bahn lines U4 to U7, as well as the U9, are also operational as usual.
