Due to heavy rains, there have been several incidents for the fire department and police in Sachsen-Anhalt in the evening and at night. In the northern part of Sachsen-Anhalt, in the city of Genthin (Jerichower Land), several cellars and deep basements were flooded with rainwater, according to the rescue control center. Additionally, some roads were flooded and blocked by uprooted trees and fallen branches.

Similarly, uprooted trees were reported to the rescue control center in the Altmark region in Neukirchen and Dahrendorf. The county road 2354 between Rottleberode and Stolberg was closed for three hours due to mud on the road, as the Police reported.

According to the rescue control centers, no persons were injured.

  1. Despite the efforts of the local fire department, battling the unfavorable weather in Genthin, Sachsen-Anhalt, proved challenging, as several buildings with deep basements and cellars were inundated with rainwater.
  2. In response to the weather-related incidents, including flooded roads and fallings trees, the fire department in Genthin collaborated with the police to ensure the safety of the residents.
  3. The meteorological conditions, with heavy rain and thunder, exacerbated the situation in Genthin, Saxony-Anhalt, forcing the police to close certain roads, such as the county road 2354 between Rottleberode and Stolberg, for extended hours.
  4. The collaboration between the fire department, police, and rescue control center in Saxony-Anhalt remained crucial throughout the weather emergency in Genthin, ensuring the smooth resolution of incidents and maintaining public safety.
