At a traffic accident on a Friday evening in Hergisdorf (Manfeld-Südharz district), three people were injured in a frontal collision of two cars. A 52-year-old driver was flown to a clinic with a rescue helicopter, according to the police. A 39-year-old driver and his 39-year-old passenger were lightly injured.

According to the reports, there were significant traffic disruptions at the accident scene at times due to a full closure. The fire department was also involved in rescuing the people from the entangled vehicles. The damages caused by the accident must now be determined by an expert.
