Session week - The Landtag discusses child and youth violence
Before the summer recess, lawmakers in the state parliament aim to work through approximately 40 items on the agenda. At the start of this three-day session week, an amendment to the budget regulations is planned for 10:00 AM, preventing antisemitic or discriminatory behavior in speech, writing, or art from being supported with public funds. The CDU and Greens have submitted a corresponding bill. The Union sees the state taking the lead with this initiative. In the parliament, the handling of child and youth violence in the state is also a topic. In the afternoon, parliamentarians will debate urban development.
During the session week, children and parents in Schleswig-Holstein may benefit from discussions about addressing youth violence in the state parliament. Following the budged regulations amendment, the parliament will take a break during the summer, allowing lawmakers to enjoy their well-deserved summer break. Upon returning from the break, the state parliament will continue its efforts to combat antisemitic or discriminatory behavior, setting an example for other states.
