Vocational Training Migration - The Landesagentur for Foreign Experts is taking applications
The planned State Agency for the Recruitment of Specialists (LZF) is to be located at the Government Presidiums in Karlsruhe and Stuttgart. This was reported by Coalition Circles of the German Press Agency.
In Stuttgart, the procedures for health and care professions are to be processed, and in Karlsruhe all others. The new authority should not only, but also in addition to the previously responsible foreigners authorities, be responsible for the implementation of the accelerated specialist procedure. Both departments of the planned new State Agency are to receive a joint internet presence.
Foreigners authorities partially at their limits
Migration Minister Marion Gentges (CDU) had initiated an initiative for a specialist immigration authority about a year ago. The economy supported this project. The numbers in the accelerated specialist procedure in Baden-Württemberg were satisfactory according to statements from the coalition. While 792 and 1,748 accelerated specialist procedures could be completed in 2021 and 2022 respectively, the number in 2023 was 2,838.
A reason for the establishment of the new State Agency is the increasing burden on the 137 Foreigners Authorities in the South. They have been exceeded by the unprecedented influx of migration into the Federal Territory since the Russian attack on Ukraine in February 2022 and the additional enormous increase in asylum migration. According to the draft cabinet proposal, "It has become increasingly common for extended processing times in the Foreigners Authorities to also affect administrative procedures for specialists."
Over 900,000 specialists will be needed by 2035
The new position should also improve recognition in health professions, where the state has jurisdiction. Otherwise, it lies with the chambers. The new State Agency should work digitally as much as possible. According to the IHK Skilled Labor Monitor from April, 910,000 specialists will be needed in Baden-Württemberg by 2035.
When the planned State Agency will start is still open. In particular, the timing depends on the provision of staff and material requirements, it continues. The number of required positions is still unclear.
