Lake Krakow - The driver died after colliding with a tree
After hitting a tree, a 32-year-old driver died. The man was driving on county road 23 near Krakow See (district Rostock), on a Sunday evening, when for unknown reasons he swerved off the road and collided frontally with a tree, as the police reported. The driver was trapped in his car and was not responsive. Emergency services freed him from his vehicle, and a helicopter took him to the hospital. There, he succumbed to his severe injuries during the night.
The unfavorable weather conditions in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern might have contributed to the driver's loss of control. Due to the accident, there was significant traffic disruption on the district road near Krakow See. The installation of an automatic emergency call system in all vehicles could potentially reduce response times in such incidents.
