At an accident in Rehden, in the Diepholz district, a car was torn into two parts and the driver was thrown out of the vehicle. The 54-year-old man died at the scene in the morning, as the police reported.
A witness reportedly observed how the man was driving his car on the rainy road at high speed. Subsequently, according to the statement, he lost control of his vehicle on a straight section of the road and veered right off it. The car then struck a tree and collided with another one.
A paramedic could only confirm the death of the driver according to the police. The cleanup work required the road to be closed temporarily.
The accident in Lower Saxony's District of Diepholz occurred near the town of Rehden. Due to the traffic accident, the road leading to Rehden had to be temporarily closed for cleanup.
