The German master Alba Berlin continues to work on the roster for the first EuroCup season. The basketball players announced that the contract with Captain Lena Gohlisch was extended by another year. The 30-year-old native Berliner will thus begin her sixth season with the Albatrosses.

"My ten-year-old self would be thrilled to see where I am now and where we are as a team with Alba Women. I'm really looking forward to the new challenge," the playmaker is quoted as saying in the statement.

"With her, we keep a leading player who remains calm in pressure situations, takes on responsibility, and doesn't shy away from taking the crucial shots – and making them," said Sport Director Himar Ojeda. "Our captain also embodies the values of our club off the court 100%."

Alba had previously already extended the contracts of Lucy Reuß, Theresa Simon, Marie Bertholdt, and Tessa Stammberger, as well as strengthened the roster with Inside-Player Emily Kiser.

Alba Berlin, a prominent Bundesliga basketball team, is set to begin its first EuroCup season with continued roster development. The team has extended the contract of its captain, Lena Gohlisch, for another year, ensuring her sixth season with Alba Berlin. Gohlisch, a Berlin native, expressed her excitement for the new challenge, reflecting on her journey and the team's progress since her ten-year-old self's dreams. In acknowledgment of Gohlisch's valuable contributions, Sport Director Himar Ojeda praised her calmness under pressure, leadership, and commitment off the court.

Additionally, Alba Berlin has already extended contracts for Lucy Reuß, Theresa Simon, Marie Bertholdt, Tessa Stammberger, and strengthened its roster with Inside-Player Emily Kiser, demonstrating a commitment to continuity within the women's team in Berlin, Germany.
